Brew Your Perfect Cup: Explore New Ways to Enjoy Gaza Coffee

At Gaza Coffee, we started with a very fine grind, perfect for making rich, aromatic coffee on the stove. But as we listened to you, our customers, we learned that you were experimenting with other brewing methods—like using espresso machines and French presses.

To make sure you get the best flavor and experience with each method, we’ve expanded our offerings to include different grind sizes tailored for your preferred brewing style. Whether you’re a fan of the intense shot from an espresso machine or the smooth brew of a French press, we’ve got the right grind for you. Here’s how to brew our coffee, your way.

The Traditional Way: A Timeless Ritual

There’s nothing quite like the experience of brewing Arabic coffee the traditional way. It’s more than just making coffee—it’s a cultural ritual, a moment to pause and connect.

How to Brew:

  • Water: In a traditional Arabic coffee pot, add water according to the number of servings (about 4 oz per cup) and bring it to a gentle boil.

  • Coffee: For every 4 oz of water, add a full teaspoon of our extra-fine ground coffee.

  • Simmer: Stir gently and let the coffee simmer over low heat for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.

  • Settle: Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for a moment to allow the grounds to settle.

  • Serve: Pour the coffee into small cups, paired with dates or sweets for an authentic touch.

French Press: Smooth and Bold, Just Like You Like It

The French press might be unconventional for Arabic coffee, but with a coarser grind, it delivers a smooth, full-bodied brew that’s worth the experiment.

How to Brew:

  • Coffee: Add about 1-2 teaspoons of our coarse ground coffee per 4 oz of water to the French press.

  • Water: Pour in hot water, just off the boil, over the coffee.

  • Steep: Let it steep for 3-4 minutes, then slowly press down the plunger.

  • Serve: Pour yourself a cup of velvety goodness.

Moka Pot: A Stove-Top Tradition Reinvented

The Moka pot offers a middle ground—traditional yet modern. With the right grind, it’s perfect for those who want the ritual but don’t have the time.

How to Brew:

  • Water: Fill the bottom chamber with water up to the safety valve level.

  • Coffee: Add about 1-2 teaspoons of our medium-fine ground coffee per serving to the filter basket.

  • Heat: Assemble the pot and place it on medium heat.

  • Serve: Once the top chamber is full, pour and enjoy.

Espresso Machine: For a Quick, Intense Shot

Who said you need to be in a rush to enjoy good coffee? With the right grind, our Arabic coffee adapts beautifully to an espresso machine, delivering a bold, concentrated shot.

How to Brew:

  • Water: Fill your espresso machine’s water reservoir with fresh water.

  • Coffee: Pack the portafilter with 1-2 teaspoons of our fine ground coffee per shot, and tamp it down gently.

  • Brew: Brew as you would a regular espresso.

  • Serve: Pour and enjoy a rich, deep-flavored coffee that’s perfect for a quick pick-me-up.

AeroPress: Coffee on the Go

If you’re always on the move, the AeroPress is your best friend. With a medium grind, it’s quick, easy, and packs a punch of flavor in every cup.

How to Brew:

  • Coffee: Add 1-2 teaspoons of our medium ground coffee to the AeroPress chamber.

  • Water: Pour in hot water, just off the boil, up to the top mark on the AeroPress.

  • Steep: Stir, steep for about a minute, and then press down the plunger slowly.

  • Serve: Enjoy a cup of rich, aromatic coffee in no time.

Pour-Over: The Art of Patience

Grind: Medium-coarse

For those who like to take their time, the pour-over method offers a more delicate, nuanced brew. With the right grind, it’s like a mini-meditation in a cup.

How to Brew:

  • Coffee: Add 1-2 teaspoons of our medium-coarse ground coffee to the filter.

  • Water: Pour a small amount of hot water (just off the boil) to let it bloom, then continue pouring slowly in a circular motion.

  • Serve: Once brewed, remove the dripper and filter, then serve your perfect cup.
